Abstract

The aim of this research is to examine the effect of emotional intelligence and organizational commitment on employee performance with organizational citizenship behavior as intervening variable in The Population and Civil Registry Service Office of Makassar City. The data are primary data obtained from questionnaires. The samples of this study were the employee at The Population and Civil Registry Service Office of Makassar City as many as 122 respondents obtained by distributing questionnaires the processed by linear regressive analysis with an intervening variable. The results show that emotional intelligent has a positive and significant effect on organizational citizenship behavior. Organizational commitment has a positive and significant effect on organizational citizenship behavior. Emotional intelligent has a positive and significant effect on performance. Organizational commitment has a positive and significant effect on performance. Emotional intelligence affects the employee performance through organizational citizenship behavior. Organizational commitment. affects the employee performance through organizational citizenship behavior.
