Publication Ethics
Jurnal Riset Veteriner Indonesia upholds the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures to prevent publication malpractice. All parties involved in the publication process—including authors, reviewers, editors, and the publisher—are expected to adhere to ethical standards as outlined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
1. Responsibilities of Authors

Authors must ensure that their work is original, properly cited, and has not been published or submitted elsewhere.

Plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, and duplicate publication are strictly prohibited.

All authors must have significantly contributed to the research and manuscript preparation.

When applicable, ethical approval for research involving animals must be clearly stated.
2. Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers must evaluate manuscripts objectively, fairly, and confidentially.

They must have relevant expertise and disclose any conflict of interest that might affect the impartiality of their review.

Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited and alert editors to any suspected ethical misconduct.
3. Responsibilities of Editors

Editors are responsible for deciding which submitted articles should be published based on academic merit and editorial policy.

Editorial decisions must be free from commercial or personal bias.

Editors must ensure a fair and double-blind peer-review process, maintaining confidentiality throughout.

In cases of suspected misconduct, editors will follow COPE flowcharts and take appropriate action, which may include retraction or correction.
4. Ethical Oversight

The journal is committed to investigating any report of unethical behavior or research misconduct.

Corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern will be issued when necessary to preserve the integrity of the scholarly record.
5. Animal Ethics

Manuscripts involving animal experiments must include a statement confirming that ethical approval was obtained from a recognized ethics committee.

Authors must confirm that animal care and use followed established national and institutional guidelines.
