The theme of health and the environment is increasingly in demand among academics, including historians. The 2019 coronavirus disease (covid) phenomenon that has hit most parts of the world brings various lessons to human life, including learning history. Among academics, researchers, historians, and students, writing on the theme of health and the environment continues to stretch as if it is a new trend. This period can be said to be the period of 'performance' of health and environmental research. Both of these themes have become prima donna in various campus events, health institutions, and places of worship. Until now, the two themes are still in demand by history students. Unfortunately, the guidelines or framework of reference (Learning Program Units/SAP) do not yet exist, so it seems there is "a void" in the historical and historiographical methodology space. Even though the findings of historical data have told a lot about past community events related to health and the environment, starting from epidemics, policies, institutions, and environmental damage, to wastewater treatment. Therefore, the purpose of writing this article is to contribute to thinking about the development of the theme of historical writing, so that new themes by the trends of the times can be written from a historical perspective. The research problem raised is how health and the environment are written from a historical perspective. The writing of this article uses the historical method with a social history approach.
Imas Emalia Copyright (c) 2024 Imas Emalia http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 http://journal.unhas.ac.id/index.php/jsi/article/view/32602 Thu, 30 Nov 2023 00:00:00 +0000 Dari Jakarta ke Penajam: Membangun Kota, Mengonstruksi Makna dan Budaya http://journal.unhas.ac.id/index.php/jsi/article/view/32603
This article discusses plans to move Indonesia's capital city to the Penajam area, North Paser, East Kalimantan. Reading the history of the relocation of the capital city and the politics of capital city spatial planning both during the colonial and post-independence periods, it is clear that symbolic aspects in space play an important role in representing culture as well as constructing the culture desired by the government. Based on data obtained through the official government website, it appears that the current transfer and spatial planning of IKN on the island of Kalimantan is also basically a cultural policy of the government, namely an effort to create a national capital that reflects a national identity that transcends all barriers of ethnic identity and another primordial identity.
Wahyuddin Wahyuddin Copyright (c) 2023 Wahyuddin Wahyuddin http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 http://journal.unhas.ac.id/index.php/jsi/article/view/32603 Thu, 30 Nov 2023 00:00:00 +0000 Perbandingan Dinamika Penggunaan Jilbab di Masa Orde Baru dan Reformasi http://journal.unhas.ac.id/index.php/jsi/article/view/32604
Throughout Indonesia's history, especially during the New Order and Reformation eras, Muslim women's head covering usage has changed. This study looks at the variations in head covering usage in Indonesia under the New Order and Reformasi. The methodologies used to conduct this study were qualitative. Data are collected by observation, literature study, and recordkeeping. The study's findings demonstrate that the creation of the headscarf eventually serves a number of significant purposes because the circumstances in which they are made, as well as the players and interests associated with them, are extremely varied. During the New Order era, the Indonesian government outlawed Muslim women from donning the headscarf, which resulted to pupils being dismissed from school. Despite the ban's fierce opposition from Muslims, it was changed for stability. The headscarf is now regarded as a human right in the contemporary reform age, and Muslim women's clothing is regarded as art and a representation of their individuality.
Pujiati Pujiati Copyright (c) 2023 Pujiati Pujiati http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 http://journal.unhas.ac.id/index.php/jsi/article/view/32604 Thu, 30 Nov 2023 00:00:00 +0000 Dinamika Kehidupan Beragama pada PTKIN di Aceh: Perspektif Kultural dan Historis http://journal.unhas.ac.id/index.php/jsi/article/view/32605
This article discusses the dynamics of religious life that occur on the campuses of State Islamic Religious Universities (PTKIN) in Aceh. PTKIN in Aceh is part of PTKIN nationally, and to a certain extent, the religious dynamics between campuses interact and influence each other, on the other hand, its location in Aceh, has a sociocultural impact and the history of Aceh, which has its own Islamic color. Does the dynamics of religious life at PTKIN in Aceh reflect the dynamics of religious life in Acehnese society, or does it have a different style and be more national in nature as part of PTKIN? The main focus of this study is to see whether the dynamics of religious life at PTKIN in Aceh are based on a contextual and tolerant understanding of religion and whether there are indications of the development of radicalism and violence in the name of religion as has occurred in the last decade in various places in Indonesia, including Aceh. The method used is qualitative, where data collection is carried out using in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, observation, and documentation, while data analysis uses critical discourse analysis. In general, it can be concluded that the dynamics of religious life at PTKIN in Aceh are currently more moderate and tolerant compared to the religious dynamics of Acehnese society in general.
Sanusi Ismail Copyright (c) 2023 Sanusi Ismail http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 http://journal.unhas.ac.id/index.php/jsi/article/view/32605 Thu, 30 Nov 2023 00:00:00 +0000 Sejarah Pendidikan Indonesia Baru: Perkembangan Pembelajaran Sejarah Berbasis Artificial Intelligence (AI) 4.0 http://journal.unhas.ac.id/index.php/jsi/article/view/32607
The development of education in Indonesia in the 4.0 era is quite significant in terms of learning. The emergence of artificial intelligence (AI) technology provides opportunities and challenges for implementing history learning at the elementary to high school levels. This research aims to answer the problem of why AI technology is important in learning history and what its benefits are. The method used in research is the historical research method. The results of this research show that the development of history learning based on artificial intelligence (AI) in the digital era 4.0 continues to develop, making history learning a challenge for educators because it not only requires an understanding of historical facts but also interpretation and analysis as well as the application of learning strategies using AI. The benefits of using AI in history learning are increasing learning efficiency by reducing the time needed to search for information, increasing student interaction with learning material through the use of technology that attracts attention, and increasing students' understanding of the historical context through data visualization and analysis. The challenge in using AI is the teacher's lack of ability to follow developments in AI-based learning, and the use of AI technology in history learning is the lack of relevant and quality data. This research uses historical research methods which consist of finding and gathering sources, verification, aufassung, and darstellung. The origins of this mosque came from the results of the compensation given by the Dutch East Indies Government to Muslims because they wanted to demolish the mosque in Surapringgo. However, the grant of land does not have a documents, but only inscription. This mosque then underwent several changes and infrastructure improvements. In addition, the Kemayoran mosque also has a lot of waqf land originating from worshipers. Most of the waqf land is used by residents to be used as residences or businesses with rental status. The rent from the land is used again for the needs of the mosque and funds for improvements. However, because there was no legal document on which to base it, the issue then sparked several problems related to land reform in the 1970s. The worshipers of the mosque took various ways to convince the tenants that there is no connection between waqf land and land reform. Even though many methods have been taken, the tenants are ultimately unwilling to pay any more rental fees, even though the rights to the land and activities on it are still under the auspices of the Kemayoran Mosque.
Yuniar Putri Arisandy, Sarkawi B.
