Profil Asam Lemak Hepatopankreas dan Gonad Udang Windu (Penaeus monodon) yang Diberi Pakan Komersial Modifikasi dengan Suplementasi Vitamin C dan E

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh suplementasi vitamin C dan vitamin E dalam pakan komersial yang dimodifikasi terhadap profil asam lemak hepatopankreas dan gonad udang windu, Penaeus monodon. Perlakuan yang dicobakan adalah pakan komersial yang dimodifikasi dan disuplementasi dengan vitamin C (500 mg/kg) dan E (300 mg/kg) (PS) dan pakan komersial yang dimodifikasi tanpa disuplementasi dengan vitamin C dan E (PK). Hewan uji yang digunakan adalah udang windu hasil budidaya dengan bobot awal 43,1±5,1 g untuk betina dan 41,9±4,4 g untuk jantan, dipelihara pada 2 petak tambak beton bekururan 1000 m2/petak dengan kepadatan 0,1 ekor/m2. Selama 3 bulan pemeliharaan di tambak diberi pakan uji sebanyak 3% biomassa. Udang windu yang telah berukuran > 90 g untuk betina dan > 70 g untuk jantan, selanjutnya dipindahkan ke bak beton untuk dimatangkan gonadnya. Selama pemeliharaan di bak beton diberi pakan uji pellet dan pakan segar (cumi-cumi) sebanyak 3% bobot kering dari biomassa dengan perbandingan pellet: pakan segar = 50% : 50%. Udang yang telah matang telur (TKG III) selanjutnya dibedah dan diambil hepatopankreas dan gonadnya untuk dianalisis profil asam lemaknya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hepatopankreas udang windu memiliki kandungan asam lemak: total omega-3, total omega-6, tak jenuh tunggal, tak jenuh ganda, arachidonat, dokosaheksaenoat, dan eikosapentaenoat yang lebih tinggi pada udang windu yang diberi pakan PS daripada udang windu yang diberi pakan PK. Demikian juga gonad udang windu memiliki kandungan asam lemak: total omega-3, total omega-6, total omega-9, tak jenuh ganda, arachidonat, dokosaheksaenoat, dan eikosapentaenoat yang lebih tinggi pada udang windu yang diberi pakan PS daripada yang diberi pakan PK. Suplementasi vitamin C dan vitamin E dalam pakan memberikan pengaruh dalam meningkatkan asam lemak utamanya yang bersifat esensial dalam hepatopankreas dan gonad udang windu.
