About the Journal

The Journal of Indo-Malayan Bioprospecting (JIM-Bio) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to serving as a primary forum for research on the exploration, characterization, and sustainable application of biological resources from the Indo-Malayan realm. This region, recognized as a global biodiversity hotspot, encompasses the biogeographical area of Southeast Asia and the Malay Archipelago, including the nations of Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, the Philippines, Timor-Leste, and the southern parts of Thailand and Myanmar.

JIM-Bio aims to bridge the critical gap between the discovery of novel biological compounds, genes, and processes and their practical applications in agriculture, forestry, food security, medicine, and industrial biotechnology. We are committed to promoting research that not only unlocks the economic potential of biodiversity but also rigorously addresses the intertwined principles of conservation, ethical sourcing, and equitable benefit-sharing.
