12. Post-Publication Discussion

 Jurnal Analisis Kebijakan dan Pelayanan Publik (JAKPP) recognizes that scholarly discussion and editorial responsibility continue after publication. Readers, authors, and other members of the scholarly community are welcome to engage with published articles and may raise substantive concerns regarding their accuracy, integrity, interpretation, authorship, originality, or ethical status.

1. How to Take Part

1.1. Comments and Replies

Readers may submit a Comment on an article published in JAKPP within 12 months of its publication by contacting the editorial office at jakpp@unhas.ac.id

A Comment should not exceed 1,500 words, must address the scholarly content of the published article, and must be properly referenced. Comments are assessed by the editors and may be sent for peer review where necessary. The authors of the original article will be invited to submit a Reply.

Where accepted, the Comment and the Reply may be published together and linked to the original article to facilitate scholarly discussion and maintain the connection between the original publication and subsequent contributions.

1.2. Concerns about Errors or Research Integrity

Anyone who believes that a published article contains a significant error or raises concerns regarding research integrity or publication ethics may contact the JAKPP editorial office at jakpp@unhas.ac.id

Such concerns will be assessed fairly and confidentially, where appropriate, in accordance with the journal's Publication Ethics, Research Misconduct, Corrections, and Retractions policies. The editorial team may request supporting information or documentation before determining the appropriate course of action.

1.3. Discussion on External Platforms

JAKPP may consider substantive concerns about its published articles raised through public forums, scholarly discussion platforms, or post-publication review services. The journal will assess concerns that are sufficiently specific and supported by relevant evidence and will determine whether further editorial investigation or action is warranted.

2. Standards of Discussion

All post-publication contributions must be courteous, evidence-based, and focused on scholarly arguments, methods, interpretations, and findings rather than personal criticism.

Contributors must disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest relevant to their submissions. Comments accepted for publication will be published under the name of the contributor. Concerns relating to research integrity may be submitted confidentially, provided that they include specific information sufficient to support an initial assessment.

JAKPP reserves the right to decline comments that are irrelevant to the scholarly content of an article, unsupported by evidence, defamatory, abusive, or inconsistent with the journal's editorial policies.

3. Editorial Assessment and Outcomes

The editorial team will assess post-publication contributions and concerns based on the available evidence, the significance of the issues raised, and the principles of fairness, transparency, and publication integrity.

Depending on the findings and the nature of the concern, post-publication discussion may result in:

- Publication of a Comment and Reply;
- Publication of a correction or erratum;
- Publication of an expression of concern; or
- Retraction of the published article.

Any editorial action will be taken in accordance with the relevant JAKPP policies and will be documented appropriately to preserve the transparency and reliability of the scholarly record.

JAKPP is committed to handling post-publication discussions responsibly and impartially, while respecting the rights of authors, contributors, and readers and safeguarding the integrity of the published scholarly record.
