APLIKASI PEMBELAJARAN BAHASA DAERAH SEBAGAI SOLUSI REGENERASI PENUTUR BAHASA DAERAH
AbstractThe Indonesian Language Agency mapped there are 11 extinct, 19 threatened, and 2 critical local languages. But, until now there's still no comprehensive solution to solve the problem of the critical and extinction of local languages. There are three things discussed in this study. First, why are the local languages being in critical and endangered situations? Second, how to solve this problem? Third, what is the future initiation in order to ensure that local languages will be preserved? This research is a field research using qualitative methods. Data collection is using interview, observation and documentation techniques. This research uses a sociological approach which is a descriptive-analytic method. In addition, this study also uses the Theory of Communicative Action by Jurgen Habermas. The research found three things. First, the causes of critical and endangered local languages are Migration, Mixed Marriage, Cultural Discrimination, Colonialism & War, and Education System. Second, the solution to preserve the existence of local languages from time to time is to require local language education be inserted in the education curriculum of schools. Third, the future initiation in order to maintain the local languages sustainability is to create a local language learning application fun and interactively.
