COUNSELING COMMUNICATION IN THE DIGITAL ERA: THE ROLE OF THE SUNDANESE LANGUAGE IN APPROACHING THE ZILENIAL GENERATION

Abstract

Artikel ini mengkaji peran literasi digital dan media dalam mengintegrasikan bahasa Sunda ke dalam praktik konseling spiritual bagi generasi Zilenial di kawasan perkotaan Jawa Barat. Menggunakan pendekatan fenomenologi, data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam dengan konselor dan klien yang terlibat dalam layanan konseling berbasis digital. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan bahasa Sunda tidak hanya mempererat relasi terapeutik melalui pendekatan yang personal, adaptif, dan kontekstual secara budaya, tetapi juga meningkatkan efektivitas penyampaian pesan-pesan spiritual. Bahasa Sunda berfungsi sebagai medium komunikasi yang menciptakan kenyamanan, memperkuat identitas kultural, serta mendorong keterbukaan klien dalam proses konseling—terutama di wilayah yang memiliki afiliasi budaya Sunda yang kuat. Dalam konteks literasi digital, bahasa Sunda menjadi jembatan antara kearifan lokal dan dinamika spiritualitas generasi Zilenial. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap pengembangan literasi media dan komunikasi budaya dalam praktik konseling spiritual berbasis teknologi digital.
