About the Journal
Proceeding of The 5th ASPIKOM International Communication Conference (AICCON 2025) is a peer-reviewed publication that compiles scholarly works presented at the 5th ASPIKOM International Communication Conference, jointly organized by ASPIKOM (The Indonesian Communication Higher Education Association) and the Department of Communication Studies, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Hasanuddin.
Held on July 30, 2025, at Hotel Unhas, Makassar, Indonesia, the conference carried the theme “Harmonizing the Voices of the Archipelago: Communication Transformation for Social, Economic, and Maritime Cultural Advancement.”This proceeding serves as a repository of academic discussions, empirical studies, and theoretical reflections that interrogate the evolving landscape of communication in contemporary societies.
The proceeding encompasses a wide range of topics, including but not limited to communication and social resilience, digital narratives, environmental communication, media literacy, intercultural and maritime communication, as well as innovation and governance in the digital age. It aims to foster intellectual exchange among scholars, practitioners, and policymakers who are reimagining communication for equitable and sustainable transformation.
