Online games with the FPS (First Person Shooter) genre are media that are categorized as hot media. This game has features and instructions that can be easily understood by its users. But behind the ease of understanding the game, Valorant triggers quite intense interactions between players. Many studies have exposed the diverse range of symbolic violence that arises as an implication of negative interactions in games such as flaming, sexting, trashtalking and cyberbullying. Symbolic violence occurs when one's capital capacity is insufficient to meet the needs and demands of the arena. This condition explains how the concept of capital is the fundamental foundation that makes a person comfortable in online games. Especially women, as a gender who often get negative behavior in games, makes this research significant. The concept of capital used is social capital proposed by Bourdieu where the capacity of one capital has implications for how far the quality of the relationship can be mobilized. Therefore, this study seeks to reveal how the social capital of female players in the online game Valorant is constructed. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study research method. The data collection technique used was an in-depth interview with 4 female players of the online game Valorant. The results of the study show that female players have social capital when playing Valorant games. Social capital is constructed through (1) participation in the community, (2) in-game skills, experience, and
communication, and (3) gaming cosmetics and device quality.
