Author Guidelines

Authors must prepare manuscripts using the official HIFI templates and follow the Author Guidelines. Submissions that do not follow the required template and format may be returned for correction or declined during initial screening.

Please download and use the following files from the journal website:

Paper Format

  • Manuscripts are typically 6,000 to 8,000 words, including the abstract and references, depending on manuscript type and contribution.
  • The main manuscript is normally organised as Title, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Literature Review, Methodology, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, and References. Review Articles and Case Studies may adapt the structure where appropriate, provided the manuscript remains clearly organised and methodologically transparent.
  • The abstract should be written as a single paragraph of 150 to 250 words. It should briefly introduce the problem, state the objective, outline the methodology, summarise the main findings, and end with the significance or a brief conclusion.
  • Provide 2 to 8 keywords, arranged alphabetically and separated by semicolons.
  • Referencing style uses APA style.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
