As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

  • Field of Manuscript: Paper related to the field of Biology and Environment
  • Journal contents: Research results that have never been published, specific studies from lecturer, student, outside researcher.
  • Manuscript language: Standard Indonesian or English
  • Systematics of writing include: Title, name and address of author, abstract, introduction (background, problems, purpose), material and methods, results and discussion, conclusions, acknowledgement and bibliography.
  • The title of the article is short and informative, written in uppercase letters except scientific names, a maximum of 20 words
  • Abstract in English for Indonesian manuscript-in Indonesian for English manuscript, written in 1 space.
  • The author's name is written completely without an academic degree accompanied by the name of institution
  • Manuscript: concise and clear, without many technical terms, but scientific value. The text is neatly typed on one face of a quarto paper with the letters Times New Roman point 12, space 1.5. The limit of writing from the left and top edges is 3 cm, and the right and bottom edges of the page are 2.5 cm. Maximum 10 pages are written outside the drawing page Manuscripts sent to the editor are stored in a flashdisk with 1 copy of the hard copy.
  • The name of an animal/ plant species to include a scientific name. Quotes/ terms in regional/ foreign languages should be accompanied by translations/ descriptions in Indonesian.
  • Images, photos, illustrations should be scanned and stored in JMPG / BMP format in flasdisk. Text images, photos, illustrations, typed on a separate page.
  • Citation is written as follows: Serena (1952); (Serena, 1952); (Serena & Mossa, 1971), (Serena et al. 1974); or Prain (in Hendrick. 1931).
  • Writing Bibliography should be arranged alphabetically / Harvard (alphabetically) and written as follows:
