Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Style of Manuscript. In general, the text is expected to be able to follow the following systematics: Start Page (Title, Author, Institution of Origin, Cellphone Address No. HP, Abstract and Keywords), Introduction (background and problem formulation), Theoretical Review and Development of Thinking Framework and Research Hypothesis , Research Methods (Design, Population and Samples, Operational Definitions, Analysis Instruments and Tools), Analysis and Discussion, and Closing (conclusions, suggestions and limitations of research). This general systematics can be adapted for the types of applied articles, in-depth theoretical studies of contemporary concepts or methodological issues, and reviews and responses.

Manuscript Format

▪    The manuscript is written using A-4 paper size with the left / bottom margin of 3 cm and the right / upper margin of 3 cm. Writing using Times New Romans letters (12pt). The maximum number of pages is 30 pages. Each page must be numbered in sequence.

▪    The entire body of the text uses the same left average margin, both for the sub-titles and sub-titles.

▪    The Start Page only contains Title, Author, Institution Origin, Email Address, Abstract and Keyword.

▪    Abstracts in Bahasa Indonesia and English version, have a maximum of 200 words while keywords have a maximum of 5 words / phrases. The abstract should be clear, concise, and descriptive. This abstract should provide a brief introduction to the problem, objective of paper, followed by a statement regarding the methodology and a brief summary of results. Abstracts are written in English. 

▪    Pictures and tables are made without using background colors (shading) and thickening / tilting letters. The title of the image and table is placed at the top of the image / table in question using Arabic numbers, for example: Figure 1. Research Framework and Table 1. Growth of Assets. The use of secondary images / tables, must include the retrieval source at the bottom of the image / table. Placing tables / images flat on the left edge of the page.

▪    Research that uses instruments of data collection (questionnaire / list of interviews / observations) attaches the instruments used.

▪    Pictures and Tables are placed on separate pages. Give information in the text where the image / table is using a pair of square brackets, for example: [Insert Table / Figure 1 here]

▪    In tables and other places, commas (,) in numbers are used to indicate thousands and points (.) Show decimal fractions. For example: IDR 1,500 and 2.5%.

References Style

How to write references following the APA Manual of Style standard, with the basic format: Last name, short for first name. (Year). Title. Publisher, city name.

Plagiarism Policy

JBMI will judge any case of plagiarism on its limits. If plagiarism is detected by the editorial board member, reviewer, editor etc., in any stage of article process- before or after acceptance then we will alert the same to the author(s) and will ask them to rewrite the content or the to cite the references from where the content has been taken. If more than 20% of the paper is plagiarized- the article may be rejected and the same is notified to the author.
