Sustainability Assessment of the Mini Agrotourism Area at the Surabaya Food Security and Agriculture Agency Using a Multidimensional Scaling (MDS) Approach

The Mini Agrotourism managed by the Department of Food Security and Agriculture (DKPP) of Surabaya City is an educational tourism area that integrates agricultural activities, livestock farming, recreation, and urban green open spaces. This study aimed to analyze the sustainability level of the area based on ecological, economic, social, institutional, and technological dimensions using the Rapfish method with a Multidimensional Scaling (MDS) approach. Data were collected through observations, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires distributed to managers and visitors. The results showed that the ecological, social, and institutional dimensions were categorized as highly sustainable, with index values of 87.16, 87.18, and 90.87, respectively. The technological dimension obtained a value of 57.55 and was categorized as moderately sustainable, while the economic dimension scored 48.70 and was classified as less sustainable. The leverage analysis indicated that the most sensitive attributes affecting sustainability were the use of fertilizers and pesticides, additional community income, visitor satisfaction, the availability of management regulations, and the digitalization of agrotourism information services. Furthermore, the Monte Carlo analysis showed only minor differences in values, indicating that the analysis results were stable, valid, and reliable.
