Strategic Policy and Diplomacy Review (SPDR) is an open-access, biannual, international, peer-reviewed journal, published online in June and December, first published in 2026, by Hasanuddin University, with E-ISSN: 3163-9984.

SPDR is dedicated to advancing multi- and interdisciplinary theoretical, empirical, and policy-oriented research with a focus on strategic policy, diplomacy, international relations, and global politics issues.

The journal serves as an interdisciplinary platform for academics, researchers, practitioners, diplomats, policymakers, and leaders to engage in critical, robust analysis and discussion of past, contemporary, and future discourse and issues related to strategic policy and diplomacy, interlinking local, national, regional, and global-level dynamics.

SPDR publishes original research articles, policy analyses, review essays, and scholarly commentaries that contribute to the understanding of how states and sub-states, international organisations, transnational networks, and other non-state actors craft strategic policies and conduct diplomacy to address complex political, economic, defence and security, technological, and societal issues.

The journal welcomes contributions from diverse theoretical, methodological, and disciplinary perspectives, particularly those that bridge academic inquiry with practical policy and diplomatic implications.

All submitted articles shall never be published and are not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Articles submitted to SPDR will undergo a thorough double-blind peer-review process. The Editorial Board decides on the acceptance of articles based on the reviewers' recommendations.
