Hasanuddin Islamic Finance and Institutions (HIFI) is a peer-reviewed, open access journal advancing high impact scholarship on Islamic finance through an institutional lens. HIFI is distinguished by its strategic emphasis on Indonesia as a living laboratory for Islamic financial development, where rapid regulatory evolution, market deepening, and innovation in social finance create rich opportunities for theory building and evidence based policy insights. While Indonesia focused studies are particularly encouraged, HIFI is intentionally positioned as a global platform welcoming contributions from ASEAN, OIC countries, and other emerging and frontier markets. By bridging academic rigour with real-world relevance, HIFI curates research that informs institutional design, governance quality, market architecture, and measurable socio-economic impact across Islamic banking and non-bank finance, sukuk and capital markets, takaful, and Islamic social finance.
