Abstract
Latar Belakang: Stunting adalah permasalah gizi kronis yang hingga kini masih menjadi tantangan global. Kondisi stunting di Kabupaten Buton Tengah membutuhkan penanganan serius mengingat perannya sebagai bagian dari upaya nasional untuk menurunkan angka stunting secara menyeluruh. Tujuan: Mengetahui karakteristik ibu dan faktor yang berhubungan dengan kejadian stunting pada anak usia 0-23 bulan. Metode: Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan desain cross sectional study. Sampel adalah seluruh ibu balita 0 – 23 bulan yang berada di Kecamatan Lakudo Kabupaten Buton Tengah. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan simple random sampling sebanyak 78 responden. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan lembar kuesioner. Analisis data univariate dan Bivariat. Hasil: Kejadian stunting pada anak usia 0–23 bulan di Kecamatan Lakudo Kabupaten Buton Tengah memiliki pola yang berbeda bila dilihat dari karakteristik umur, pendidikan ibu dan pekerjaan orang tua. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan pengetahuan, Asi Ekelusif dan riwayat penyakit infeksi dengan kejadian stunting pada anak usia 0-23 di kecamatan lakudo kabupaten buton tengah dengan nilai p < 0,05. Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan pengetahuan, Asi Ekelusif dan riwayat penyakit infeksi dengan kejadian stunting pada anak usia 0-23 di kecamatan lakudo kabupaten buton tengah. Ini berarti bahwa semakin baik pengetahuan ibu, pemberian Asi Eklusif dan kurangnya riwayat penyakit infeksi kemungkinan kejadian stunting semakin berkurang.
