AI Ethics Policy

JAKPP (Jurnal Analisis Kebijakan dan Pelayanan Publik) upholds the integrity of academic publishing and recognizes the growing presence of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) in research and scholarly writing. To ensure transparency, accountability, and ethical use of AI tools, the following policy applies:

Authorship Responsibility
The use of GenAI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Bard, Claude) is permitted only as a supportive instrument in the writing process, such as improving language, suggesting structure, or assisting in literature search. GenAI tools may not be listed as authors under any circumstances.

Disclosure Requirement
Authors must disclose the use of GenAI tools in their manuscripts, specifying how and to what extent these tools were used (e.g., in language polishing, idea generation, or summarization). This should be clearly stated in the acknowledgments or a separate section.

Originality and Plagiarism
Authors are fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, and ethical integrity of any content generated or modified with the assistance of GenAI. Any form of AI-assisted plagiarism will be treated as academic misconduct.

Peer Review and Editorial Decision
Editors and reviewers may also use AI tools in a limited and transparent way (e.g., to check language or identify research gaps), but editorial decisions remain solely based on human judgment and ethical guidelines.
