About the Journal

Focus and Scope

This journal aims to provide a venue for academicians, researchers, and practitioners to publish original research articles or review articles. The scope of the articles published in this journal deals with a broad range of topics, including (but not limited to) sociology, political sciences, public administration, public policy, communication studies, journalism, public relations, cultural anthropology, local government, international relations, and development studies.

Peer Review Process

All manuscripts published in JSG undergo peer review, the key characteristics of which are as follows:

  • At least two experts review all manuscripts.
  • The journals’ Managing Editors make all publication decisions based on the review results.
  • Members of the Editorial Boards give advice, suggestions, and guidance to the Managing Editor for general matters as well as to assist in decision-making on particular submissions.
  • The Managing Editor and Section Editors are responsible for the administrative support that allows JSG to conserve the integrity of peer review.
  • Managing Editor and Section Editors will adopt as quick a mechanism as possible to maintain the authors’ satisfaction. Still, they will keep the quality of the manuscripts as the main consideration in publishing decisions.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global knowledge exchange.

Journal History

Journal of Society and Governance (JSG) publishes original and quality research, literature reviews, conceptual papers, and book reviews twice a year (March and September) related to social sciences, including (but not limited) to sociology, political sciences, public administration, public policy, communication studies, journalism, public relations, cultural anthropology, local government, international relations, and development studies.
