Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided. Please make sure that the URL of the reference is active at the time manuscripts submission.
  • The body text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; Times New Roman font type; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal. (MLA Citation System)
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Author Guidelines

The submission stage

  • The author through online submission system provided by JSG Editorial Teams should submit manuscript.  Please follow the instruction in this link on how to create account (if you do not have any) or login (if you already have account).
How to prepare a manuscript
  • In general, there is no particular limitation to overall size of manuscript nor the number of figures, tables, diagrams, and/or graphics.  However, in order to maintain the availability of space in every edition, appropriate length of the manuscripts should fall around 2,000 to 7,500 words length (excluding bibliography).
  • The Editors will screen the manuscripts with less than or exceed the words mentioned above, depend on the deep of information and quality of analysis.

Length of Manuscripts

JSG are open to submit three types of manuscript, with particular length as follows:

  • Research Articles: 3.000 to 7.500 words
  • Ongoing Research (including conceptual overview): 2.000 to 3.500 words
  • Book/Dissertation/Film/Website Reviews: 1.000 to 2.000 words

Word Processor

Prepare the manuscript by using MS word, Open Office Writer, Kingsoft Writer, or other word processor conversably to MS Word.

Content of Manuscript

Title

  • The title should be simple, brief, and reflect the content of manuscript in general.
  • Include at least one keyword of the manuscript.
  • Capitalize the first letter of the title.
  • Provide a brief version of the title to be used as running title, consist of maximum 100 words (including space).

Author(s) name(s) and affiliation(s)

  • Provide a list of all authors, followed by his/her affiliation, and one corresponding addresses.

Abstract

  • Abstract is necessary for Research Articles and Ongoing Research (Conceptual overview). No need to prepare abstract for book/dissertation/film/website review.
  • Abstract should not exceed 250 words and written as single paragraph.
  • Put at least 3 (three) keywords.

Body text

  • The body text is in 12 pt normal Times New Roman. No indention and/or additional empty line between paragraphs.
  • The entire document should be single-spaced and must contain page numbers in the center-bottom of page.
  • Main body of manuscript usually consists of several section and sub section, at least (but not limited to): introduction, methods, literature reviews, findings and analysis, conclusion, acknowledgment, and references.
  • Write the section parts in bold characters, and sub section parts in italic.
  • Use the built-in referencing tools provided by MS Words, or external plugin like Mendeley.

Footnotes

  • Footnotes only needed to giver additional explanation to certain term in body text.
  • Footnotes should be indicated by numerical superscripts: 1, 2, 3, etc. They should be placed at the foot of the relevant page.
