Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

JOURNAL OF LANDSCAPE AND ENVIRONMENT

Journal Scope

The Jurnal Lanskap dan Lingkungan (JULIA) aims to disseminate information, provide contributions that discuss all aspects related to landscaping and the environment. The scope of the study involves exposure to the results of planning, design, development and management of landscapes and the environment. JULIA also accepts discussions and reviews that discuss objects, works, and research results that are useful for the development of the field of landscape architecture.

Manuscript Submission

Articles can be submitted through the submission system in the Online Journal System (OJS) of Hasanuddin University.

Manuscript Criteria

Manuscripts must be original, and have never been published in other media.
The types of writings accepted in this journal are:

Research Articles

Articles in the form of research results in the field of landscape and environment. Research articles emphasize methods and discussion of results.

Landscape Work Articles

Articles in the form of exposure to the results of activities oriented towards the creation of landscape design works. Articles can contain descriptions of planning, design and construction activities of landscape works or a combination of these stages.

Review Article

Review of the results of landscape studies and research, or analysis of natural landscape features and the results of landscape design works, and can also review landscape and environmental management activities. Review articles emphasize the design philosophy, description of components and the significance of the study results and landscape features to the environment, society and the development of the field of landscape architecture in general.

Article Structure

The article consists of: Title; Author's name; Affiliation; Abstract; Keywords; Article content; Acknowledgments (optional); References
The title is concise, clear and describes the substance of the writing. The font type of the title is Times New Roman font size 14 in bold. The title should be no more than 15 words without place names and no more than 20 words with place names.
The author's name is written in full without title and behind the author's name is given a superscript number indicating the author's affiliation. Authors who act as correspondence authors are given a superscript asterisk. Times New Roman font type, font size 12
Affiliations are written with institution name and address and are sorted by institution from the first author, second author and so on. Times New Roman font type, font size 11
Below the affiliation, the email of the first author is written as a correspondence email. Times New Roman font type, font size 11
Abstract is a summary of the content of the paper, typed with one space with Times New Roman font type, font size 11. Abstract is no more than 250 words. Abstracts are made in Indonesian and English.
Keywords represent the theme, topic or main issue of the article, minimum 3 and maximum 5 words or phrases.
The content of the article is in accordance with the type of writing, consisting of Introduction, Methodology, Results and Discussion, Closing / Conclusion. The content of the article is written with 1 space, Times New Roman font type, font size 12. Body text is written with right-aligned text (justify).

References and citations

The number of references is at least 8 with the way of writing references and citations following the American Psychological Association (APA) 7th Edition system.

The number of pages per article is at least 8 and a maximum of 20 pages including the bibliography.
