SKRINING FITOKIMIA EKSTRAK KULIT BUAH NANGKA (Artocarpus heterophyllus) DAN AKTIFITAS ANTIOKSIDANNYA TERHADAP [2,2’-azinobis-(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonate)] (ABTS)
Abstract
Buah Nangka (A. heterophyllus) merupakan salah satu komoditi utama buah-buahan di Indonesia dengan tingkat nutrisi dan kandungan kimia yang bermanfaat dan beragam. Limbah kulit buah nangka diduga juga mengandung metabolit sekunder yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai senyawa sumber antioksidan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis senyawa yang terdapat pada ekstrak kulit buah dan mengukur aktivitas antioksidannya terhadap ABTS. Golongan senyawa diuji dengan menggunakan pereaksi untuk mengetahui kandungan kimia dalam ekstrak kulit buah nangka berupa antara lain flavonoid, alkaloid, tanin/fenolik, saponin, terpenoid. Profil KLT yang diperoleh menggunakan densitometer menunjukkan nilai Rf 0.27 dan 0.40 kemungkinan merupakan senyawa flavonoid sedangkan pada Rf 0.9 dideteksi positif untuk senyawa terpenoid. Uji aktivitas antioksidan terhadap hasil fraksinasi esktrak kulit buah nangka menujukkan bahwa fraksi 3 menghasilkan nilai IC50 yang paling besar di antara fraksi-fraksi kulit buah nangka dengan nilai sebesar 87.09 μg/ml terhadap ABTS
