Policies & Publication Ethics
Psychoverum adapts the standards of publication ethics as stated in the 7th Edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association. These include the policies regarding authorship, misconduct, and research ethics. In addition, we also specify the policy as follows:
AUTHOR CONTRIBUTIONS
All authors should substantially contribute to the conception and design, acquisition, analysis or interpretation of data, and drafting or revising the manuscript. All authors should be accountable fo all aspects of the publication related to the accuracy and integrity of the work.
For determining authorship we suggest referring to APA, which can be accessed here
PLAGIARISM, FALSIFICATION, AND FABRICATION
Psychoverum only accepts manuscripts that have not been previously published nor being considered for publication elsewhere. All manuscripts submitted to the journal are subjected to similarity check procedure to identify any indication of plagiarism, which include using another person’s ideas, methods, results or words without giving appropriate credit.
Indication of plagiarism, fabrication (making up data) and falsification (manipulating reseach materials, processes, and data such that the research is not accurately represented in the article) will be followed up by the editorial board.
PEER REVIEW
All submitted manuscripts are subject to initial review by the editorial team to assess the suitability of the manuscript to the journal’s aims and scope. If found suitable, the manuscript will be reviewed by an independent, expert reviewer. All reviews are double-blind, which means that neither the reviewer nor the author will know each other's identity.
COPYRIGHT
Authors who publish with this journal agree to the following terms (If a submission is rejected or withdrawn prior to publication, all rights return to the author(s)):
- Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.
- Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its initial publication in this journal.
- Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their website) prior to and during the submission process, as it can lead to productive exchanges, as well as earlier and greater citation of published work (See The Effect of Open Access).
Submitting to the journal implicitly confirms that all named authors and rights holders have agreed to the above terms of publication. It is the submitting author's responsibility to ensure all authors and relevant institutional bodies have given their agreement at the point of submission.
