Peer-Review Policy

Tamalanrea: Journal of Government and Development implements a rigorous Double-Blind Peer Review policy to ensure the quality and integrity of the scholarly content published. In this process, both the identities of the authors and the reviewers are kept confidential to maintain impartiality and fairness.

Peer-Review Process

  1. Initial Submission Check:
    All submitted manuscripts are first reviewed by the editorial team to ensure they align with the journal's scope and adhere to its formatting guidelines. Manuscripts deemed inappropriate or lacking in compliance will be returned to the authors.

  2. Assignment to Reviewers:
    The editorial team assigns two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field to evaluate the manuscript. Reviewers are selected based on their competence and familiarity with the subject matter.

  3. Review Evaluation:
    The reviewers critically assess the manuscript based on:

    • Originality and significance of the research.
    • Scientific validity of the methodology.
    • Clarity and coherence of the arguments.
    • Relevance to the field of government and development.
  4. Reviewer Recommendations:
    Reviewers provide constructive feedback and recommendations in one of the following categories:

    • Accepted without revision.
    • Accepted with minor revision.
    • Major revision required.
    • Rejected.
  5. Editorial Decision:
    Based on reviewers' feedback, the editor makes a final decision regarding the manuscript. In cases of conflicting reviews, a third reviewer may be consulted.

  6. Revision and Resubmission:
    Authors are required to address reviewers' comments and resubmit the revised manuscript for further evaluation. The revised submission undergoes additional review if necessary.
