Peer Reviewe Process
- The Journal of Applied Oral Health and Dental Therapy (JAOHDT) is a periodical scientific journal published by the Dental Therapy Study Program, Faculty of Vocational Studies, Hasanuddin University. The journal focuses on the application of scientific knowledge and evidence-based practices in the fields of oral health and dental therapy.
- All manuscripts submitted to JAOHDT undergo a peer-review process to ensure academic quality, originality, and relevance to the journal’s scope. Each manuscript is first evaluated by the Editorial Board to assess its conformity with the journal’s focus, author guidelines, and ethical standards. Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements may be rejected at this stage.
- Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are reviewed using a double-blind review system, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential. Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. The reviewers assess the manuscript based on its scientific contribution, methodological soundness, originality, clarity, and ethical compliance.
- Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the Editor-in-Chief will make one of the following decisions: accept, revise (minor or major), or reject. Authors are required to revise their manuscripts according to the reviewers’ and editors’ comments within the specified timeframe.
- JAOHDT applies strict publication ethics and uses plagiarism detection software to screen all submissions. Manuscripts involving plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication or falsification, or other unethical practices will be rejected.
- JAOHDT accepts original research articles and review articles from academics, researchers, students, practitioners, and government professionals. The editorial team is committed to maintaining a fair, transparent, and timely review process to ensure the quality and integrity of published articles.
