PROLAX: PSIKOEDUKASI PERLINDUNGAN LANSIA DARI HOAX PADA ANGGOTA KARANG WERDA “LAROSE” KABUPATEN MALANG

When it comes to using technology and the internet, the elderly are a population that is at risk. When it comes to using the internet and communicating in groups, partners' primary issue is that it is simple for the elderly to transfer unreliable information from one group to another. This community service is being done to educate senior residents of Karang Werda "LaRose" in Malang about hoaxes. Community service is in the form of psychoeducation, namely the delivery of information and activities about hoaxes. Participants are members of Karang Werda „LaRose” totaling 40 people. The activity was carried out on October 5, 2022. The psychoeducation results showed a change in knowledge regarding hoaxes; how to identify them and preventive measures for their spread. || Lansia termasuk populasi yang beresiko jika berkaitan dengan penggunaan gawai dan internet. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi mitra terkait penggunaan internet dan komunikasi dalam kelompok adalah mudahnya para lansia untuk menyebarkan berita-berita dari satu grup ke grup lain yang belum jelas kebenarannya. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan psikoedukasi terkait hoax pada lansia anggota Karang Werda ”laRose” di Malang. Pengabdian masyarakat berbentuk psikoedukasi yaitu penyampaian informasi dan aktivitas seputar hoax. Partisipan adalah anggota Karang Werda ”laRose” yang berjumlah 40 orang. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 5 Oktober 2022. Hasil psikoedukasi menunjukkan adanya perubahan pengetahuan terkait hoax; bagaimana mengidentifikasinya dan tindakan preventif dalam penyebarannya.
