Faktor yang Memengaruhi Strategi Koping Masyarakat yang Tinggal Berdampingan dengan Penderita Skizofrenia

Abstract

Meningkatnya jumlah penderita skizofrenia di masyarakat membutuhkan adanya dukungan positif dari semua pihak agar mereka mampu memiliki produktivitas dan hidup mandiri. Adanya stigma dan diskriminasi yang masih kuat menjadi hambatan terbesar pada strategi koping masyarakat dalam merespons kehadiran penderita yang tinggal di sekitarnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi strategi koping masyarakat yang tinggal berdampingan dengan penderita skizofrenia. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain observasional analitik dengan pendekatan cross-sectional.  Populasi pada penelitan ini adalah masyarakat yang tinggal di sekitar penderita skizofrenia di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Bantur, Kabupaten Malang, Jawa Timur. Terdapat 138 responden yang dipilih berdasarkan teknik multi stage random sampling. Variabel prediktor yang diteliti adalah penilaian masalah (X1), modal sosial (X2) dan dukungan sosial (X3). Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji regresi logistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor yang memengaruhi strategi koping masyarakat adalah modal sosial (X2). Persamaan regresi yang dihasilkan adalah Y = 5,627 + 0,733X1 + 1,739X2 - 0,021X3. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa modal sosial adalah prediktor yang memengaruhi strategi koping masyarakat. Oleh karena itu disarankan agar masyarakat semakin menguatkan modal sosial yang dimiliki untuk membantu pemulihan penderita skizofrenia yang tinggal di sekitarnya.
