Focus and Scope

Jurnal Gizi Masyarakat Indonesia (The Journal of Indonesian Community Nutrition) publishes high-quality original research articles and scientific reports. The journal welcomes comprehensive contributions that advance the understanding and practice of nutrition and public health, with a particular focus on the following core areas:

  1. Nutrition and Food Technology

    Studies on food processing, food science, functional foods, nutrient composition, and innovative nutrition technologies applied to community health.

  2. Epidemiology

    Nutritional epidemiology, public health surveillance, distribution and determinants of nutritional status, and disease risk factors across various population groups.

  3. Biomolecular Nutrition

    Nutritional biochemistry, molecular nutrition, nutrigenomics, and the biochemical or metabolic impacts of nutrients and bioactive compounds.

  4. Mother and Child Health

    Maternal nutrition, infant and young child feeding (IYCF), stunting prevention, lactation, growth monitoring, and early childhood nutritional interventions.

  5. Health and Nutrition Policy

    Public health nutrition policies, evaluation of community nutrition programs, food security systems, and nutrition-related governance and economics.

  6. Health Behaviour and Promotion

    Nutrition education, behavioral change communication, community empowerment, and health promotion strategies to foster healthy dietary habits.

Submission Criteria

  • All submitted manuscripts must be original research articles that have not been previously published and are not currently under consideration by other journals or publishers.

  • Manuscripts should demonstrate methodological rigor and contribute practical or theoretical insights to the field of community nutrition.
