GOVERNMENT: Jurnal Ilmu Pemerintahan is an open-access, peer-reviewed scholarly journal published by the Department of Government Studies, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Hasanuddin. The journal aims to disseminate original research by scholars and practitioners that advances understanding of government, governance, and public affairs. It welcomes theoretical, empirical, comparative, and interdisciplinary articles on government studies, public institutions, public policy, political processes, decentralization, local governance, democratic institutions, public sector reform, digital government, and governance challenges in developing countries and archipelagic regions. GOVERNMENT: Jurnal Ilmu Pemerintahan encourages rigorous quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods research that contributes to scholarly debate and offers insights into government practices and policy development.
GOVERNMENT: Jurnal Ilmu Pemerintahan is published twice a year, in January and July. Submitted manuscripts must be original, must not have been previously published, and must not be under consideration by another journal. Each manuscript undergoes an initial editorial assessment. Manuscripts that pass this stage are evaluated by at least two independent reviewers through a double-blind peer-review process. The Editor-in-Chief makes the final publication decision based on the reviewers’ reports, the authors’ revisions, and the journal’s editorial standards.
