Maritime Park Journal employs a blind peer review system in its article evaluation process. The identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential to ensure objectivity in the review process. Each submitted article is reviewed by at least two expert reviewers in the relevant field before a publication decision is made. The peer review process here..

The latest issue of Maritime Park: Journal of Maritime Technology and Society brings a fresh wave of insight into the evolving world of maritime research. This edition explores cutting-edge developments—from ocean structure design and smart logistics systems to the hidden ecological dangers lurking in ship ballast water.

One of the standout studies sheds light on high-risk chemical substances used in ballast water treatment. Using Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and a Decision Support System (DSS), researchers identified hazardous compounds—like dibromoacetic acid—that are potentially overlooked by current regulations. This finding raises a crucial point: not all "approved" chemicals are safe for marine ecosystems.

Maritime Technology and Society is a  open access academic journal with the aim of providing a forum for the dissemination of theory and research in all maritime fields covering technological developments and a social life that will be of interest to academics, practitioners, and policymakers.

Maritime Park is published by the Department of Ocean Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Hasanuddin University Makassar in February, June, and October every year. Manuscript submission can be done every working day. Manuscripts that will be accepted are manuscripts that already have a conclusion or full paper. Manuscripts that have been approved for publication have been reviewed by reviewers and full papers are free to download via our website.
